Chronic lymphostasis after surgical interventions, e.g. in the arm after mastectomy with removal or excessive post-irradiation of the axillary lymph nodes, possibly venous or perivenous transfers.

Manual lymphatic drainage. Learning of special movement exercises and the technique of self-bandage. Arm often high and always soft. No blood pressure measurement, no injections on the affected arm. Blande washing lotions (e.g. Eucerin, Sebamed) and skin care creams e.g. Ungt. emulsif. aq. 5% Dexpanthenol-Creme R064. Disinfect small injuries immediately, as the skin tends easily to infections.
