Dermatofibroma: since years existing, no longer growing, occasionally itchy, very firm, marginal brownish nodules protruding above the skin level with a slightly scaly, punched surface; at the top left a resting melanocytic nevus.
Dermatofibroma. exophytic tumor which almost fills the entire dermis. epidermis at the ascending tumor margins (see left margin) widening like saw teeth, over the center of the tumor atrophically thinning. on the right side of the picture a cut hair follicle.
Dermatofibroma. Cell-richdermatofibroma with seemingly un-eroded cell and nuclear structures. No mitosis figures.
Dermatofibroma. special histological variant with large, cytoplasmic-rich epitheloid cell infiltrates.
Dermatofibroma, a special variant with large epithelial cell elements, which express S100 during immunohistological processing.
