Cross-tape

Rectangular grid-like tape made of polyester tapes with non-elastic, adhesive acrylic coating. Known in advance in acupuncture, here grid tapes were placed on the acupuncture points. s.a. Kinesiotaping.

Used for various diseases of muscles and skeleton, premenstrual syndrome, overall pain, shoulder impingement syndrome, teeth grinding, currently also for insect bites or to improve scar structure.

Scientifically, the effect has not yet been proven. The mechanisms of action are thought to be increased blood circulation, microscopic skin displacement due to the rigid plaster when the underlying tissue layers are moved, punctual massage, also electrostatic effect.
