(¤ 6.3.1845, † 1909) British dermatologist. Born in Brighton, he began his medical studies at University College in London in 1870. In 1875 he received his medical doctorate. 1876 began dermatological training with William Tilbury Fox at University College Hospital in London. In 1877 he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians. 1888 First publication of his textbook "Diseases of the skin", which reached several editions. Crocker gave his name to two diseases, the granuloma anulare described by Thomas Calcott Fox in 1895 and the erythema elevatum et diutinum described by Jonathan Hutchinson in 1888. Henry Radcliffe Crocker became his successor as head of the dermatology department at University College Hospital in London after the sudden death of his teacher William Tilbury Fox.
