0.5-2% citric acid glycerol solution. For mouthwashes, mix equal parts with freshly boiled and chilled water before use. If necessary, rinse the mouth several times/day with the diluted solution. In unconscious or intensive care patients, if necessary, dip a fresh swab into the solution, pass it through the mouth and discard.
