Cd99

Is expressed on most human tissues, cortical lymphocytes and almost all hematopoietic cells (except granulocytes). Furthermore in a wide range of tumors (Ewing sarcoma, T-cell lymphoma, calcifying aponeurotic fibroma, etc.).
CD99 also functions as a sensitive but unspecific marker of acute myeloid leukemia, myelosarcoma and acute lymphoblastic leukemia. A negative detection is available for Merkel cell carcinoma and DFSP.
