General informationThis section has been translated automatically.

CD303 (BDCA-2) is a type II C type lectin of 213 amino acids with a molecular weight of 25 kDa, specifically expressed by human plasmocytoid dendritic cells (PDC). The natural ligand of CD303 is currently unknown. Functionally, the most remarkable property of CD303 is the inhibition of interferon production of stimulated plasmocytoid dendritic cells, which is specifically induced after binding of CD303 to an "anti-CD303-mAk". CD303 is used as an immunohistological marker.
