Black heel. asymptomatic, self-limited, trauma-induced bleeding into the skin in the heel area, which impressed as a black spot for many weeks. this finding could be completely eliminated by flat ablation of the horny layer with a scalpel (proving an old hematoma).
Black heel. reflected light microscopy (groin skin of the heel): Grey-brownish round foci in a strip-like, parallel stripe orientation (old haemorrhages in the papillary body), in the centre of the groin there are bright spots arranged at regular intervals of 0.4 to 0.5 mm (sweat gland ostia).
