The base cream DAC is an ambiphilic cream that can be used universally. In the system of semi-solid and liquid preparations it is positioned between the O/W and W/O systems. There is no inner disperse and no outer homogeneous phase. Hydrophilic and lipophilic phase are bicoherently adjacent to each other.
Water as well as oils can easily be added to this system. 50% water supply turns the ambiphilous cream into a hydrophilic cream or an O/W cream.
If up to 20% oil is added, a lipophilic cream is obtained.
Furthermore the base cream DAC can be mixed with different active agents like glucocorticoids (preferably triamcinolone acetonide, hydrocortisone) and zinc oxide (also in form of Lotio alba).
