Tallamide dea

"Tallamide' means amides of various fatty acids from tall oil (from the Swedish word 'tall' = pine), an oily mixture of substances obtained as a by-product of the manufacture of pulp from pine wood, 'DEA' is the acronym for diethanolamine, a colourless amino alcohol.

Tallamide DEA, the tall oil fatty acid diethanolamide, is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance mixture acts as a viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products), antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, for example of hair) and foaming agent (increases foam formation and improves volume, structure and durability of the foam).
