Synthetic beeswax (inci)

Synthetic beeswax refers to a synthetic product made of alkyl esters, fatty acids, fatty alcohols and alkanes which is similar in composition to beeswax. The mixture consists mainly of C18-30 alkyl esters, C16-32 fatty acids and C22-34 alkanes. Synthetic beeswax is used in cosmetic formulations. It acts as a binding agent (ensures the desired cohesion of powdery, powdery or creamy products, prevents the separation of solids and liquid components), emulsion stabilizer (supports the formation of emulsions and improves the stability and shelf life of emulsions) and viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products).
