Stearoyl trimonium bromide (inci)

Stearoyl trimonium bromide acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static electricity by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, for example of hair) and as a hair conditioning agent (makes hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume) and as a preservative (substance used as a preservative in cosmetic preparations. Inhibits the growth of micro-organisms (The general conditions for preservatives that may be used in cosmetics are defined in the EC Cosmetics Regulation - 1223/2009 - Annex V).
