Sodium/tea -lauroyl keratin amino acids (inci)

"Sodium" refers to the element sodium, "TEA" refers to triethanolamines (reacts easily with fatty acids to form triethanolamine soaps and is used as an alkaline component in soaps and cosmetics, "lauroyl" refers to the fatty acid component lauric acid (dodecanoic acid, engl. Lauric acid), "keratin amino acids" is an amino acid mixture obtained from animal keratin.

Sodium/TEA -lauroyl keratin amino acids is a mixture of substances which is used in cosmetic preparations. It acts as surfactant, antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electric charge on the surface, e.g. of hair) and as hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume) and as skin care product.
