Sesamidopropyl dimethylamine refers to the sesame fatty acid amidopropyldimethylamine.

Sesamidopropyl dimethylamine is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance mixture acts as a surfactant (washing-active substance; improves the even distribution of the products during application) as well as a hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume), antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, for example of hair) and as a skin care product (keeps the skin in good condition).
