Sesamide dea (inci)

"Sesamide DEA" means the diethanolamide of sesame fatty acids. DEA is the acronym for "diethanolamine". Diethanolamine is a colourless amino alcohol which is used in solvents, emulsifiers and cleaning agents. DEA is frequently used in cosmetics for pH adjustment.

Sesamide DEA is a surfactant which is used in cosmetic formulations. "Sesamide" acts as a surfactant (washing-active substance; improves the even distribution of the products during application) as well as a foaming agent (increases foam formation and improves the volume, structure and durability of the foam) and viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products).
