Salvia officinalis extract (inci)

Salvia officinalis extract is the extract obtained from the dried leaves and parts of the stems of Salvia officinalis, the sage plant (Red sage; Garden sage; Sage), an evergreen shrub from the labiate family.
Salvia officinalis extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The extract acts as an anti-dandruff agent (combats the formation of dandruff on the scalp), skin care agent (keeps the skin in good condition) and strengthening agent (creates a pleasant feeling on the skin or hair). The extract is also used in oral care (cleans, deodorizes and/or protects the oral cavity or teeth).
