Prunus amygdalus dulcis extract (inci)

Prunus amygdalus dulcis extract refers to the extract obtained from the fruit of the sweet almond (Prunus dulcis var. dulcis). Prunus dulcis var. dulcis, the sweet almond, like the variation Prunus dulcis var. amara, belongs to the rose family and is today mainly cultivated in California and the Mediterranean region.

Prunus amygdalus dulcis extract is used in cosmetic formulations. The extract acts as a skin care product, abrasive (removes plaque or impurities from the skin surface by abrasive/polishing action), swelling agent (reduces the density of cosmetic products by swelling) and moisturizer (increases the water content of the skin).
