Ppg-27 glyceryl ether (inci)

PPG-27 Glyceryl ether is a substance which is used in cosmetic formulations where it acts as an emulsifier (surface-active substance which is used in cosmetic preparations as an additive to combine 2 immiscible liquids - e.g. oil and water - to form an emulsion).

"PPG" means a PPG (polypropylene glycol) derivative. The number after "PPG-" indicates the average number of molecular units -CH2-CH2-CH2-O-. This ingredient contains glycerol as an alcohol component in esters or condensed with other (poly)alcohols or sugars. "Ether" means a linkage product of two alcohols.
