Ppg-10 jojoba alcohol (inci)

PPG is the acronym for "polypropylene glycol", the polymer of propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol), a dihydric alcohol. The number after "PPG" indicates the average number of propylene glycol molecular units, for "PPG-10" this is 10 propylene glycol molecular units. "Jojoba alcohol" refers to the fatty alcohols of jojoba oil.

PPG-10 jojoba alcohol is used in cosmetic formulations. The mixture of substances acts as an emollient (makes the skin smooth and supple) and as an emulsion stabilizer (supports the formation of emulsions and improves the durability and shelf life of emulsions).
