Peanutamide mipa (inci)

Peanutamide refers to carboxylic acid amides from fatty acids obtained from peanut oil. MIPA is the acronym for "monoisopropanolamines" an organic (alcoholic) compound from the group of alkanolamines.

Peanutamide MIPA is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance mixture acts as an emulsifier (surface-active substance which is used in cosmetic products as an additive to mix two immiscible liquids - e.g. oil and water into one emulsion), emulsion stabilizer (supports the emulsion formation and improves the stability and shelf life of emulsions), surfactant (washing-active substance/improves the even distribution of the products during application), viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products) and as foaming agent (increases the foam formation and improves volume, structure and foam).
