Panax ginseng extract (inci)

Panax ginseng extract, is the root extract of Panax ginseng, the ginseng root. Ginseng is a perennial plant native to East Asia and is used in Asian countries as a panacea. For the natural medicinal use see "Ginseng radix" below.

The substance mixture is used in cosmetic formulations. It acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, for example of hair). Furthermore, the extract has a strengthening and invigorating effect on the skin. Is said to have a revitalizing effect as an active ingredient in products for "aging skin".
