P-chloro-m-cresol (inci)

p-Chloro-m-cresol (4-chloro-3-methylphenol) is a substance used as a preservative in cosmetic preparations. Inhibits the growth of microorganisms (The general conditions for preservatives which may be used in cosmetics are defined in the EC Cosmetics Regulation - 1223/2009 - Annex V). S.a. under cresols.
