Ozokerites (inci)

The mineral wax ozokerite, a mixture of different, saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, is used in cosmetic formulations. The mixture of substances acts as a binder (binds cosmetic preparations containing powder and powder), emulsion stabilizer (supports the formation of emulsions and improves the resistance and durability of emulsions), opacifier (clouds the transparency and light transmission of cosmetic products) and viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products).

The use of fossil hydrocarbons with different degrees of purity in cosmetics is not recommended.
