Oryza sativa cera (inci)

Oryza sativa cera, the rice wax which can be obtained from rice bran after it has been pressed by further extraction processes, is used in cosmetic formulations. The wax has a smoothing effect (reduces the roughness of the skin and evens out irregularities, as a hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easier to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume), skin caring (keeps the skin in good condition), skin protecting (protects the skin from external influences), viscosity regulating (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products).
