Lauryl acrylate/va copolymer (inci)

The term "lauryl-" refers to lauryl alcohol (1-dodecanol) as the alcoholic component. Acrylate copolymers are polymers that are composed of two or more different monomer units. They are based on acrylic acid/methacrylic acid or on one of their esters (acrylic acid esters). Lauryl acrylate/VA copolymer is used in cosmetic formulations. Lauryl acrylate/VA copolymer acts as a film former (forms a film on skin, hair or nails when applied), foaming agent (increases foam formation and improves foam volume, structure and durability) and skin care product.
