Lauroyl collagen amino acids (inci)

Lauroyl collagen amino acids is a lauric acid derivative which is used in cosmetic formulations. Collagen amino acids" are amino acids which are extracted from soluble collagen. Collagen amino acids increase the water content of the skin and provide moisture.

Lauroyl collagen amino acids (INCI) acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface of e.g. hair). It also has a cleansing effect on the body surface and acts as a hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume).

The name component 'lauroyl' means that the ingredient contains lauric acid (dodecanoic acid) as a fatty acid component.
