Laurdimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed soy protein (inci)

Laurdimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed soy protein is a lauric acid derivative used in cosmetic formulations. The base of laurdimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed soy protein consists of the quaternary ammonium salt of lauric acid and hydrolyzed soy protein. The substance acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface of e.g. hair), surfactant (washing-active substance) and hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume). The product is widely used in shampoos and hair care products.
