Hydroxypropyl oxidized starch pg-trimethylammonium chloride (inci)

Quaternary trimethylammonium salt of oxidized hydroxypropyl starch (e.g. AMYLOMER™HS 75-4®) is a cationic aqueous solution of a multiply etherified tapioca starch (obtained from the tuber of the manioc shrub ) with different molecular weights.

Acts as a film former on the skin, hair or nails. The hair becomes easier to comb, smoother, softer and more shiny. Furthermore, the hair gets an increased volume.

Applied to the skin, the moisture of the skin or cosmetic product remains for a longer period of time. In shower gel applications, the substance leaves a lasting soft skin feeling.
