Hydroxypropyl guar (inci)

Hydroxypropyl guar is a substance based on "guar " (guar or guar gum is extracted from the guar bean. It is used as a filler, thickener and gelling agent in cosmetic and dietary products due to its strong swelling properties), which is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance acts as a binding agent (binds cosmetic preparations containing powder and powder) and emulsion stabilizer (supports emulsion formation and improves the durability and shelf life of emulsions), film former ( forms a film on skin, hair or nails when applied) and antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface of e.g. hair).
