Hexyldecanol (inci)

Hexyldecanol is a substance with the molecular formula: C16H34O which is used in cosmetic formulations. In cosmetics, hexyldecanol acts as a moisturizer (preserves the moisture of the skin), solvent and skin care product.
Professionally, hexyldecanol plays a role as: solvent in printing inks and special inks, as a component of superfatting agents and additive for cooling lubricants and drilling oils.

Adverse effects: In rare cases allergic reactions have been described by the use of hexyldecanol.
