Hamamelis virginiana extract (inci)

Hamamelis virginiana extract is the extract obtained from the branches or leaves, as well as from the dried and crushed bark of the trunks of Hamamelis virginiana, the Virginian witch hazel.

Bark: >4% tannins, elagitannin, catechin derivatives, gallic acid

Leaves: Tannins (gallotannins), flavonoids, essential oil

The extract has an astringent effect, redensifies the skin surface; relieves discomfort on the skin and scalp. It is also used as a skin care and hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume).
