Glycyrrhiza glabra extract (inci)

Glycyrrhiza glabara extract, is the extract from Glycyrrhiza glabara, extract from the licorice bush (licorice), which is used in cosmetic formulations. In particular, the root of the plant, the licorice root, is used to obtain the extracts. Root extracts are also used in naturopathy (Succus liquiritiae, see below Liquiritiae radix). Glycyrrhizinic acid as potassium or calcium salt. Flvonoids, phytosterols, coumarins.

The extract has an anti-inflammatory effect and smoothes the skin surface. Furthermore, the extract acts as an emollient (makes the skin supple and smooth) and moisturizer (increases the water content of the skin, moisturizes).
