Anionic emulsifiers

S.u. oil-in-water emulsifiers. Examples are alkali or triethanolamine salts of fatty acids, alkyl sulphates (sodium lauryl, cetyl or stearyl sulphate), alkyl sulphonates (sodium dioctylsulphosuccinate).

Large organic drug cations such as acridine derivatives, bamipine HCl, benzalkonium chloride and other invert soaps, chlorphenoxamine HCl and other antihistamines, chlortetracycline-HCl, oxytetracycline-HCl, gentamicin sulfate, ethacridine lactate, hydroxyquinoline sulfate, tetracaine HCl and other cationic local anesthetics): Formation of poorly soluble salts.
