P-tert-butylphenylglycidyl ether

The aromatic glycidethyl ester p-tert-butylphenylglycidylether serves as a reactive diluent for epoxy resins. It is an independent allergen which only cross-reacts to a limited extent with phenylglycidyl ether and/or cresylglycidyl ether.

The DKG has tested p-tert-butylphenylglycidyl ether 0.25% in vaseline so far. This application form is no longer available as a test substance in Germany. Therefore, this reactive diluent will now (as of 2016) be removed from the list of available test allergens.
