Interleukin-22 receptor

The IL-22 receptor is a heterodimeric transmembrane receptor complex. This complex is a class II cytokine receptor consisting of the IL-22RA1 and IL10R2 subunits, also known as IL-10Rbeta.

However, the IL-22RA1 subunit is not only found at the IL-22 receptor, but also in combination with the IL-20Rβ or IL-20R2 subunit at a receptor to which the interleukins IL-20 and IL-24 bind. The IL10R2 subunit is part of the receptors for interleukin -10, interleukin-22, interleukin-26, interleukin-28alpha, interleukin-28beta and interleukin-29. The IL22RA1 subunit can be detected in the receptors for interleukin-20, interleukin-22 and interleukin-24 on tissue-stable cells, in particular those of epithelial origin.
