4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl

Component of rubber products (antioxidant).

There is evidence that 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl reduces the pigment formation of melanocytes by inhibiting tyrosinase. 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl is part of the epicutaneous test series: "rubber series".
